Since the whole idea of the game to some extent is war how about we add a siege unit statistic. I reckon you should be allowed to build say 1 000 seige units for every city you have (as only cities would have the knowledge and artisans needed to build stuff that complex) this would encourage people to try and take each others cities.

I was thinking about using something like that. I would have to make profiels of regions that could be captured and have what town/cities are in the area and how strong they are how many troops etc. I would be happy to implement your ideas with your help.

To add to this, I suggest adding Ranged units seperate from Infantry, as they played indeed a great role, especially for the Brits.

I'm ok with this but how are we going to divide the existing Troop numbers up? And some nations would have ranged cavalry.
In fact, what do you mean by ranged? Bows, Crossbows, Javelins?
But I'll sort it out once we've decided.
